BASE was founded in 2009 in Tysons Corner, Virginia, by Atul Bhagat, who’d spent 20 years in legal and professional services IT before starting the firm. He named it after the initials of his family and built it around the work he knew best. Those early law firm clients told other clients, and most of the original referrals are still with us today.
The firm has stayed small enough that every client knows the people working on their account while growing into the kind of MSP that handles everything a 10-100 person professional services firm needs. Seventeen years in, 98% of our clients are still here, and we’ve spent more of those years co-founding industry standards than chasing growth for its own sake.
